Adding Art to Cred
Adding art to Cred is an essential step in creating engaging and visually appealing credentials. This guide will walk you through the process of adding art to your Cred in the Phi Protocol.
Step 1: Choose Art Type
Navigate to the "Art Type" selection screen.
You'll see two options:
Image: Static snapshots capturing specific blockchain moments, representing user transactions as fixed visuals.
API: Dynamic visuals that update in real-time based on ongoing wallet activity, adapting to the user's on-chain behavior. => Use case
Select the appropriate art type for your Cred.
Click "Next" to proceed.
Step 2: Register Image
On the "Register Image" screen, you'll see the following requirements:
File types: JPG, PNG, SVG, or GIF
Maximum file size: 4MB
Recommended image dimensions: 512x512 pixels
Upload your art file that meets these requirements.
Once uploaded, you'll see a preview of your image.
Click "Next" to continue.
Step 3: Mint Detail
This step allows you to set the details for your art mint:
Network: Select the network (e.g., Base Sepolia). It's recommended to use the same network as your Cred unless you have a specific reason to do otherwise.
Title: Enter a title for your art (e.g., "wawa kickboard").
Description: Provide a brief description of your art.
Tags: Add relevant tags to make your art discoverable.
Price: Set the paid price (you set X for X + 0.00045 eth mint fee).
Max Supply: Set the maximum supply (or choose "Unlimited").
Start: Set the start date and time for minting.
Duration: Choose the duration (e.g., "Open" for no end date).
Pay out funds to: Select where funds should be sent (usually "Me").
Transferable: Toggle whether the art is transferable or not.
Step 4: Confirmation
Review all the details you've entered:
Art preview
Title and description
Network, start time, duration, and max supply
Price and transferable status
If everything looks correct, click "Add" to proceed.
Step 5: Adding Art
The final step involves three processes:
Uploading metadata to Arweave: This may take a few minutes depending on file sizes.
Sign transaction in your wallet: Confirm the transaction by signing it in your connected wallet.
Waiting for confirmation: The transaction will be submitted and processed on the blockchain.
Once these steps are complete, you'll see a "View Art" button, which you can click to see your newly added art.
Best Practices
Relevance: Choose art that is closely related to the Cred's associated project or action.
Quality: Ensure your art is high-quality and visually appealing within the size constraints.
Consistency: If adding multiple art pieces, maintain a consistent style or theme.
Description: Write clear and informative descriptions to help users understand the art's significance.
Network Selection: Unless you have a specific reason, use the same network as your Cred for the art.
By following these steps and best practices, you can create compelling art for your Cred, enhancing its appeal and value within the Phi Protocol ecosystem.
